Dealing with city a big headache
In the past two weeks, I have had nothing but headaches with this city.
It all started two weeks ago, I had a garbage bag and a garbage can out for my weekly pickup but only the garbage bag was picked up. After calling the 311 line, I was informed that I couldn’t use white garbage bags in my can but she would send out a supervisor.
Upon talking to the supervisor, I was informed that my garbage may have been a little heavy but the supervisor had no problems lifting the can.
A week later, I took some items to the dump for my elderly father, under the 100 kilogram weight limit, and I was charged $2. The workers at the scale house informed me that the city decided that they need to charge $2 fee for your first four visits to the dump.
Later that week, my water meter started to leak so I called WUC and the meter was replaced, and thanks again for the WUC employee for being so prompt after hours.
A week and a half later, I received my Enwin bill. There was a $300 charge on there because the old meter was not functioning properly and the reading was off by 91 cubic metres. This is my fault? Now, I have to come up with $300 to pay this bill.
This should not be a problem. I am a student on a fixed income.
I would just like to thank the mayor and councillors for doing such a great job of running the city, especially in an election year.
